About Nathaniel Gurien
An experienced and skillful entrepreneur, Brooklyn born Nathaniel Gurien recently fell in love with his native city all over again when he re-located here in 2012, and takes great satisfaction in helping other people do the same.
?I had always thought Manhattan was unreasonably expensive,? says Nathaniel. ?But my wife Diane and I decided to give City living a fresh look, and discovered that by creating multipurpose interior venues rather than dedicating rooms to one function, we could make a New York apartment work for us. Now our family, including our black & white ?tuxedo cats? have a charming Upper West Side home where we can walk a few blocks to a concert in Central Park or Lincoln Center, or around the corner to Trader Joe?s and Magnolia Bakery.?
A longtime resident of New Jersey, Nathaniel attended Livingston College at Rutgers University. He has enjoyed traveling for both business and pleasure worldwide, from Tahiti and Hong Kong to Singapore and Panama, all the while increasing his familiarity with overseas trade and global investment opportunities.
Widely regarded as a pioneer in the domestic and international home theater and consumer electronics industry for over four decades, Nathaniel?s career included ownership of the renowned Greenwich Village boutique retailer and rock concert promoter DATS INCREDIBLE presenting bands like Phish, Allman Bros, Paul Simon and the Moody Blues at such iconic New York venues as Wetlands and Jones Beach. Now he has parlayed this extensive residential and entrepreneurial expertise into his current profession as a licensed real estate broker and Certified Buyers Representative (CBR?), and earned the loyalty and trust of hundreds of satisfied rental, sales and investment clients as well as the professional respect of his colleagues.
Nathaniel also specializes in the field of high-yield real estate investments in emerging and disruptive industries, and is the founder of the only New York Investors Meetup group focusing exclusively in this area.
Nathaniel serves on the West Side Federation of Block Associations as well as the Steering Committee of the West 69th St Block Association. He is also a member of the Central Park Conservancy and a Friend of the New York Public Library, and in his free time enjoys the rich cultural life and performing arts of our great city, or exploring the world via outdoor adventures including hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, white water rafting in Alaska, hot air ballooning in Albuquerque, New Mexico, RV?ing in Labrador, Canada, and annual pilgrimages to Black Rock City.
Nathaniel?s dedication to helping others find happiness and prosperity, along with an authentic joy for New York City, make him an invaluable resource for his growing roster of real estate and investor clients.
