About Kristina Kurakina
Kristina came to NYC in 2002 as an exchange student, fell in love and decided to stay. After earning a BS in Economics at the State University of Immanuel Kant in Kaliningrad, she graduated from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY and obtained an MBA degree in Finance. Her astuteness with numbers, market analysis and client service ultimately led her to become a residential sales and rental agent in 2014.
Kristina is very attentive to detail, and more importantly, to the unique needs of her clients. Her background in business and finance has afforded her a deep interest in real estate investing, as well as distressed properties. She delivers clear, consistent communication and utmost honesty to all who turn to her for market guidance.
After starting her career in finance and obtaining her Series 7 and 63 licenses, Kristina worked in a compliance department at Bank of New York Mellon, then as a relationship banker at JP Morgan Chase. As a Quality Assurance Analyst, she interacted with people of all backgrounds, with a focus on learning and understanding each client?s needs and motivations. Banking honed her patience, sensitivity to people?s challenges, expectations and needs, and drive to go the extra mile to provide an exceptional service experience.
Kristina specializes in residential rentals and sales, particularly in Manhattan Beach, Park Slope, Bedford Stuyvesant, Crown Heights and Flatbush in Brooklyn, and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Having lived in several of these neighborhoods, she knows them well.
Fluent in Russian and English, Kristina is a Notary Public, a Certified Nutritionist and a Pilates instructor. She has a keen passion for health and fitness, but her strongest love is real estate, where she spends all of her time.
