About Catherine McGowan
Cathy McGowan?s goal is to help people find a home and a community that makes them truly happy. Having lived in New York City the past 35 years as a renter, a co-op shareholder and home owner in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, Cathy understands the deeply personal aspects of real estate, and the individual neighborhoods that make NYC so unique.

With her father in the U.S. Air Force, Cathy was born in Germany and lived in various U.S. states including California, Kansas, Nebraska, Arkansas, Indiana and New York. She graduated from Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, and completed the Abraham & Straus Buyer Training Program.
Her background as an office manager for an industrial design firm and in sales at Seventeen magazine helped hone Cathy?s keen organizational and interpersonal skills that help her bring deals and people together. She is an adept multitasker focused on completing any job put before her with efficiency and tenacity.
A current resident of the Upper West Side, Cathy loves New York City and everything it offers ? from concerts, Broadway, ballet and museums to its great opportunities for healthy eating and exercise. She also enjoys getting away to her cottage in Westchester, plays classical piano, and is a travel enthusiast who has visited 13 countries.
