Ben Dorman has lived in the New York metropolitan area his entire life. He grew up in Great Neck then attended college at New York University, and never left Manhattan. Residing in Greenwich Village, Union Square, the Lower East Side, East Village, Chelsea, Hell?s Kitchen, Gramercy, and currently Kips Bay has afforded him a keen eye for the nuances associated with NYC?s neighborhoods and real estate offerings.

With an extensive and high-profile background in the world of sports, Ben joined Michael Shapot?s accomplished team and is integral in the Sports Star Relocation program helping athletes with their moves to the NYC area. He understands that each purchasing situation presents a unique set of challenges and objectives, and prides himself on the attention to detail he pays in each particular circumstance.

A sports enthusiast, Ben holds Bachelor of Science, Sports Management and Master of Science, Sports Business Degrees from NYU where he played college basketball. He interned in Event Marketing and Entertainment at the Brooklyn Nets, and worked in Corporate Sales and Partnerships at the New York Mets gaining knowledge of the inner workings of the professional sports industry.

His exposure to real estate came from his family's business in both commercial and residential apartments. Ben was a Junior Associate at Pergament Advisors, fostering relationships with prospective investors. He also served as Director of Strategic Partnerships at AcuityAds in the highly-charged ad tech community, presenting the firm?s marketing platform to potential accounts. At WME/IMG, Ben interacted with entertainment and sports management industry leaders on a daily basis. This pressurized environment was one in which attention to detail was critical, and time was always of the essence, as in real estate.

Ben is known for his ability to effectively communicate and engage with people in an easygoing, nurturing manner. Cultivating authentic relationships is his forte. When not consumed with real estate, he is an avid golfer, foodie and movie goer.
